Qualifications and Requirements

Prior 1-5 year experiences in areas of investment banking, commercial banking, corporate finance, private equity, venture capital and consulting
Have keen interest and good understanding of economics, financial markets, and startup ecosystem
Strong and comprehensive knowledge of financial and investment instruments
Excellent market research, analytical and quantitative skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is essential
Proficiency in written and verbal English, fluency in Cantonese & Mandarin is a plus

Roles and Key Responsibilities

Evaluate Investment Opportunities:

Evaluate potential investment opportunities through conducting investment and credit analyses
Compile industry, market and asset level data and financial information with references from public and private comparable(s) / source(s)
Produce deal specific investment memoranda for transaction recommendations to Choco Up Investments committees and other relevant lines of approval

Industry and Market Research:

Conduct industry and market research on various sectors
Collect and consolidate data and industry news in an efficient manner
Participate in ad hoc research projects

Transaction Support and Portfolio Management:

Support the execution of deal transactions
Participate in portfolio management activities including monitoring and evaluating the investment portfolio performance, participating in third party meetings, and analyzing proposed budgets, capital plans and other transaction-related requests
Coordinate with third party service providers with respect to monitoring ongoing investments
